Hello everbody!
It’s only 15h in the afternoon and I already have a new experience to share with you! Yes, you’ve guessed correctly: I had to see a doctor. No panic, it was nothing serious. I only had a headache since last wednesday and enough is enough
So, first of all locate your nearest hospital. That’s right, a hospital. Then go to the emergency room. Really, the emergency room. If you are lucky, only 30 people are waiting before you and then it’ll take only 2 hours. Yes, two hours for a headache. From what I’ve understood, 2 hours is nothing.
Besides that, I managed to explain more or less in portinhol what was my problem. I have no clue what is actually my problem now because even in dutch my medical vocabulary is very limited. I recieved some serum through a “baxter” (that was very icky) and now I feel very awake! I also got some paper, I suppose it’s the perscription for the medication but I can’t read it. Doctors have a crappy handwriting, it’s universal
But in the end I only had to pay 9,20 euros!
I also noted that my name is very dificult to understand and read around here. When they called me on the intercom, you could clearly hear the doctor was having trouble with the pronounciation (my name is a… ane.. aneleís clara li.. livên..ns). Of course the volume is on maximum and the doctor speaks really loud. And then all the people in the waitingroom looked at me because I look so obviously as exotic as the name
Anyways, it’s time for me to do some cleaning and groceries. Peace out
beijinhos!
